Meet the Artist

Hi. I'm Minea. It's nice to see you here.

My artwork is simple:

 

I believe that creating is our best window into the universe.

 

My work is an experiential meditation on Physics, Metaphysics, and the natural principles that form our world. As I paint, I am witness to the natural processes of the Earth. I witness and capture the essence of Nature:

 

Colors come down like the mountains and rain, flooding the canvas landscape, forming multi-chromatic topologies and carving river valleys into the hillsides, to then join the sea and dilute in the ocean. There is information and truth to be discovered here, as matter mixes with matter, flowing down with the forces of water and gravity. I watch materials, like the elements, fuse and dissolve, grow and decay.

 

I believe that once we become aware of the Laws of the Universe, we can work with them to affect our circumstances; to invite change.

I marvel at each piece as it is in formation, knowing it is most alive and in its truest form when it is still wet and dripping off the canvas. The dried up remains that you can hang on your wall are just a skeleton's echo  of what was once imbued with spirit. What was once Dawn is now Dust.

 

We are playing God. The divine runs through all of us. We create and we die. And we birth into existence the likes of which we've never seen before.

So to close this lofty statement, I will say this:

Be what thou art.

​

In other words, YOU are your greatest artwork.

​

You, too, are the Creator. Whatever you put your mind, your hands, your time and energy to will grow. You are the miraculous center of your own Universe, and what lives within will manifest without. So create beauty and harmony, walk gracefully and joyfully, with soft feet and an open heart, leaving behind places and relationships better and more beautiful than when you found them.

 

You are your greatest work, your life is your canvas, and you are a masterpiece.
